(Not a solution, but maybe it helps somebody until we find a real solution) : --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1)Install the CompizConfig Settings Manager if you don't have it. 2)Open it from System->Preferences->CompizConfig Settings Manager 3)Find Window decoration and click it. (You can use the filter to save time) 4)Go to the last line where it says "Shadow windows" 5)CHANGE THE RESPECTIVE FIELD FROM "any" to "type=Normal" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This way you don't have the little annoying frame shadow on your desktop without losing your compiz effects.
