I Downloaded the Mythbuntu Jaunty daily build live CD from 3-20-2009.
I'm using a 780G HD3200 IGP with D-Sub and HDMI outputs.
My "monitor" is a Vizio TV with D-Sub and HDMI inputs.
The radeon driver on the live CD is unable to set
I suspect there are really two separate problems.
The missing /etc/hosts.deny seems to have been fixed in Gutsy and Hardy.
I never had an issue with SMTP_SUBJECT (probably because I don't use the
email feature?)

lincity-ng crashes very frequently.
At least one of the crashes was from this issue.
I have only been able to play for a few minutes without crashing.
Maybe it is easier to use lincity-ng since it is easier to install.
If you want to try with mythtv you maybe only need to install the mythfrontend
I was unable to follow Leann's suggested method to test the fix because
my motherboard died and when I got my new motherboard I did a fresh
install of mythbuntu hardy 8.04 beta.
I can report that I don't have any trouble with firewire recording on my
new setup.
I suggest marking this as "Fixed" f
I have tried the recently released fglrx 8.4 drivers which are not in Hardy yet.
They did not fix the problem:( Mythfrontend and other programs still crash.

It would be very nice to get this fixed. mythfrontend crashes several
times a day for me. Sometimes it crashes 3 times in a row just trying to
start. It also tends to crash when I am done watching a video. You can

Isn't it a bad idea to remove a major feature from the user interface
after feature freeze?

Hardy needs a GUI for setting up shared folders on a local network.
But the required binary is missing!

* This causes loss of data (mythtv fails to record)

It compiled, installed fine, and works well on amd64 kubuntu Feisty.
I suggest anyone with ape files get the source from rarewares and convert their
