Maybe this bug should be closed? The cause of the original bug was a missing /etc/hosts.deny file.
This was a Fiesty bug. I've already confirmed that it is fixed in Hardy and Gutsy. Does anyone still care about Fiesty bugs? 1 year after the original bug report Sol Jerome came along with an unrelated issue.
