can install, and NoMachine removed it from their site.
I would look for a config file under /etc/ where you can define what the
GNOME session command is. If that doesn't work, look for an NX 3 script
under /usr/ (I am not sure w

installed. The guest extensions are needed for being used with Vagrant.

VMware Tools were never installed) and after installing from that CD and
installing all available updates (without ever installing VMware Tools.)

2014-03-15) after doing a software update. I have no 3rd party repos or

Open up Synaptic package manager (and authenticate,) so as to lock the Apt
database.
Open up Jockey-GTK (hardware drivers GUI)

First of all, if you are new to Linux, I would probably suggest just
installing nvidia-glx. Its features are not all that much less. The
manual installation process of the 100.14.19 requires moderate linux
experience.

I am experiencing this on my HP TX1000z (customized) laptop using the
Geforce 61050 go also.
This problems also occurs whenever I switch over to the console or when
it is shutting down.

I am also noticing this problem whenever the display is turned off, such
as by inactivity or by closing the lid. I then have to restart X. This
makes it a very serious problem for the casual user.

BTW, I'm not sure if I am using vesafb or whatever. I am not using any
specific resolutions for the console, just everything set at the

I think this problem is occurring again for those of us with HP pavilion
TX1000 series (TX1000z, TX1100 series, TX1200 series, and TX1300 series)
and probably the TX2000 series laptops/Tablet PCs.

I have some things to add.
First of all, it is the tx1000z series, and that includes all sorts of
tx1100, tx1200, and tx1300 series laptops/tablets.
Secondly, I can't seem to find a license or copyright notice or anything for
the driver. I hope it is public domain, but I am pretty sure that pack
