I completely agree with you about the blind hatred against MS.
But you forgot that, while you install a fresh linux distro, you get
OOo, GIMP, F-Spot, GCC, Python, Perl, and many other things installed
right from the beginning. You don't get MS Office, Photoshop, Visual
Studio or anything

agreed, Vista looks damn ugly without aero desktop and you need a heavy
