hi Marcus,
though the elo 123 working fine on ^3 phones, but i found the following
problems:
1. talks will force 16KHZ while on a phone call, even the elo is capable only
at 8KHZ, therefore when hang off a phone call and the
speech change from phone speaker to loud speaker, i can hear a muffle
Right, I think I know the behavior you're talking about. It's the same
thing I see when I go to the normal Facebook site and try to update my
status from there. I'm running the previous version of Talks on an E71x
that hasn't had a firmware update in years, and when I go to
m.facebook.com, I don't

Yes you can copy these files over to your pc for safe keeping and then you can
copy them back to your phone if needed. Depending on what you do with Talks,
you could find 3 different types of files. A DICT file that will have your
graphic and dictionary stuff in it. A settings file for setting y

Oh well as it turned out I did have to return to the previous version.
The latest talks keeps saying browser every time you open a new web page.

hi Marcus,
i am thinking of that too. because, so far, i've tested the latest talks 5.21
on N8, E6 and C7, all with eloquence 6.1.123, they are
working better compared to the eloquence 6.1.125. perhaps include an option for
user to decide whether they want to use 8KHZ or

Thanks Stephen so far it seems ok. I copied the .txt talks files just in

Hi Barry,
Hi Marcus, do you know if it's just me or is TALKS with Nokia OVI Maps
broken with the latest version of TALKS? I posted my experience at
the end of last week but haven't seen any responses to confirm either
way.
I just verified with my E52, which tends to be very similar to the C5
Hi Alan,
not actually true. i for one using N8 which is a ^3 phone and using
talks 5.21 together with eloquence 123 and i still get speech during

Thanks a lot for this observation - in our tests 16kHz always seemed
most reliable for speech during a call, but if Eloquence 6.1.123 (which
That is correct the e72 isn't a newer phone so will not have the issue with the
tts. So yes you can use the newer Talks with the older Eloquence while on a

you. Yes i don't see a issue with the GPS software. Like you h
Allan you are correct I just went and got my other e72 running the latest
firmware out of it's box and tried it. You can press the symbol key as many
times as you like and all that is spoken by talks is

When I press it a second time I am returned to the text editing screen.

So if I upgraded to the latest talks on my e72 but continued to use the old
eloquence this configuration would not prevent speech during a call?
Secondly would I have to then press the key twice to read the symbol list or
is this only true if you are using the latest firmware?
Lastly does the new
