reading the spamd source.
It turns out that my /usr/local/bin/procmail had the setuid bit set on it
and it was owned by root therefore spamc was running as root rather than
as the user which resulted in spamd not reading th

I am running SA 2.54 along with sendmail (8.12.9) as the MTA on the
same box. This setup is for inbound internet mail only, as it is
sitting behind our firewall, and pushes mail after being "spam scanned"
to our internal exchange server, hence the exchange server sends

hoster I try to get SA running on a Red Hat/Apache virtual host system that uses
qmail and vmailmgr system wide. So far we have been able to make it work
together with procmail and also without procmail but it seems that spamd ignores
the ./spamassassin/user_pref
