stickers off and just went with a headbadge. Seemed like a nice compromise

Yes, I don't know what is at the root of the dispute between Rohloff and
their former US distributor, but it is annoying.
Their former distributor did do a warranty repair for me recently (leaking
oil), but I had to wait several months until they had the right parts. And I

The "feel" issue is definitely a big issue with the Rohloff in certain
gears. You can feel static in the pedals as it grinds in gear 7, for
example. Hear it too. Makes you understand why some riders used to call them
pepper grinders and gives you the sensation of pedaling through water.

44-30 and 12-27. I do spin out on bigger hills and occasionally wish for

At at least as stout as the Rambo, and stouter than the Legolas, I think, at

I think I just enjoy all kinds of riding off road.
When I ride with cross tires and drop bars, I really enjoy myself, even if I
get a bit beat up. I'm happy folks like Grant Petersen and Chris Kostman are
trying to popularize this type of riding as it's a lot of fun and most bikes
can do way more
for courses, but most horses can run lots of courses.
