AFAIK, the last update to VFP SP2 (9.00..7423) was back in 2006. It was a
post-SP2 hot patch and basically required you to manually copy the new VFP9.exe

What values do you have for SET REPROCESS and SET REFRESH ?

As Fred mentioned, are you either moving the record pointer after an edit or
calling TABLEUPDATE()? You may also want to try FLUSHing the workarea in
question. Windows may be "helpfully" caching writes for you and the FLUSH
command theoretically addresses that.

In theory, you could use a select to create the memodetails column in your
newtable. Something like:
select client, sum(invvalue) as invttl, desc, ordnum, (select memodetails from
mytable where ...) as memodetails
from mytable
into table newtable
group by client, ordnum
But you don't have a f
Don't know if this has changed (apparently not)

Hmm... Not exactly. Don't confuse display with capacity. See the link below.
(And it is different depending on what version of Excel you are using.)
I dump large memo files into Excel cells on a regular basis. Finally, you do
need to do this via automation as opposed to using xBase commands if y

There's a display limit, but can you print it?

Did you look at that link, Michael? In Office 2010, 1024 characters will
display in the cell itself but 32K will display in the formula bar. I'm sure
there are similar numbers in earlier versions of Office.
As to why you would want to store and manipulate 32K of text data in a cell in
Excel, I

work in 6.

I'm assuming you're working in a debug environment as opposed to production.
Is the path to where your source code is located in the search path of your
EXE? If not, can you use a CONFIG.FPW file to set your path at runtime?
Is your project set to include DEBUG info? (See the project options.)
I would use CAST in your SQL to make sure you get back the precision you want.
You still may need a SET DECIMALS setting and maybe try SET FIXED OFF instead
of ON.
