AFAIK, the last update to VFP SP2 (9.00.0000.7423) was back in 2006. It was a
post-SP2 hot patch and basically required you to manually copy the new VFP9.exe
to wherever you have VFP installed; update the common files location with the
new DLLs; and finally update the MSM files if you are using that to package the
runtimes for distribution.

Subject: Re: VFP9 SP2 problem

I have a resolve on this. For anyone in the same boat, it seems that an update
to the latest SP2 runtimes only did a partial update. It did the vfp9.exe but
not the other 2 runtime files which remained as the earliest SP2.
Updating those files has solved all problems including being unable to create
databses and the like.

Update
My client has used the install disk I created and worked on new laptops at
another client. This one had an ole failure though at this time I don't know
what as usually its an ocx and it says which one and continues.
What is odd is an EXE created in SP1 will work even using SP2 runtimes, but put
an SP2 exe in and it fails. WFT is going on.
One thing, there is Norton 360 on this machine.
