A curious audio issue

I just got a brand new Creative Audio sound card and it plays and records great but for one thing; my games no longer work. I've got two games where the speakers work fine until you get into the heart of the game, at which time the game sounds only come through one channel, the left as it happens.

Another sound card question

Ok, I've established that the advanced audio controls for output just aren't there on the computers in this house. This means that while we can change volume in the windows controls we don't have access to "tone". Any thoughts as to why some pc's allow access to these controls and others not?

I just don't think you could go wrong with the Olympus DM520 for what you say you want and it has a less hefty price tag than the Plextalk. Of course, I was actually happy with the DS50 I had until it was stolen; but realistically the DM520 is much superior. So I guess it all depends. -Origi

Well clearly these are for different markets. Your/our 520's aren't going to read NLS books. I will say that I have heard from a distance that the Plex has had maintenance issues. It seems to me that the booksense is a fairly robust piece of equipment; I'd have looked at it if I did not already
