As it happens, I've been extremely busy, setting up a new business. But I
appreciate my delay has been frustrating for you. I've just uploaded the
new version of CDBI::FB which should free up the DBI::Test namespace.

Hi modules@,
we are short before first public release of the DBI::Test module,

Hi Brian!
Thank you for you notice.
I did not know that.
Probably it is not worth to ask DBI people.
I will rename module to DBIx::Brev.
Good luck!

Personally when I see AST I think of VMS and A-Synchronous Traps.
I notice that a google search shows the achronym AST is used for many
computer related things besides abstract syntax trees.
The CPAN rules suggest avoiding achronyms.
On the other hand I find the name SQL::AbstractSyntaxTree to

How about just SQL::Tree?
Since it is a Perl module nobody should think this is a package of SQL
routines for tree handling.
Before you use 'abstract syntax tree' make doubly sure you know what
an AST is and how it differs from a concrete syntax tree. I don't!

Hi all,
I have recently applied for a directory on CPAN and I'm all set to
contribute my first module. My userID is "SMART" (ironic, huh?).
I would like to use the namespace DBI::DBObject, because:
- the module builds on DBI. It takes most of the SQL out - in fact you
don
a) this is not the place to report problems with the DBI. Read the README.
b) build your own perl, the one you're using doesn't match your local system

Hi,
I am looking for a DBI driver for a Teradata database. I did not see one in
the available driver list, but was wondering if you may know someone that
has one?
Thanks,
Daryl
Hi,
We are trying to integrate DBI with perl. When we run make in Sparc
Solaris 2.7 machine we get this error
sln30# make
gcc -c -I/usr/local/include -O -DVERSION=\"1.13\"
-DXS_VERSION=\"1.13\" -fPIC
-I/usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00503/sun4-solaris/CORE -Wall -Wno-comm
The next version of the Module List will list the following module:
modid: Class::DBI
DSLI:adpO
description: Simple SQL-based object persistance
userid: MSCHWERN (Michael G Schwern)
chapterid:6 (Data_Type_Utilities)
enteredby: ANDK (Andreas J. König
