Ok I will try it. Thanks for your help. I tried also another program to
convert from wave to pcm and this one also do NOT swap the bytes. Is the
byte swapping only nessary for "lpcm"?

Dear MJPEG users,
I'm trying to mplex a 1.73GB mpv file and a 47.7MB mp2 file using sizzle 0.02r
or ffmpegX v0.06f. However it fails with the output below (from sizzle). Both
audio and video files are created via Mediapipe from a 30 mins, 5.52GB,
Quicktime Movie file that was exported
d suggestions that my Vbv buffer size may not be big enough. How do I go
about changing this? I've had a look at
http://roguelife.org/~fujita/MJPEG/mplex.html, but am still not sure what option
alters the Vbv buffer size.
Many thanks for the advice so far,
Si.

mjpeg 1.6.1-90 has added this
-K kvcd feature to mpeg2enc.
I tried using this with transcode, dvd::rip, etc but with dissapointing results.
I am encoding to XVCD (using a manual bitrate of 2000kbps) and the filesize of my
resulting MPG1 is not at all different than if I did NOT use the -K kvcd
).

Thats funny. Without changing anything else, I just re-compiled the mjpegtools tarball
(1.6.1-90) _after_
Program.

In the excellent mjpeg-howto, I see mpeg2enc's -E (eliminate-unit-coeff) switch
mentioned, but the code doesnt seem to support it. I grepped the source code in the
1.6.1-90 tarball and no sign of this switch?
What gives?
Thanks

There is a Windows tool for VCD authoring (www.vcdeasy.org) that has a nice tab for
making mpg stills (for use on VCD menus/segment items) from JPG/PNG files. It is
supposed to use regular Linux tools like netpgm, mjpeg, etc.
It handles all the issues Michael mentions in

Is the -N 1.0 not required with -K tmpgenc also?

One thing comes into my mind, it might be that the configure script
checks if the mjpegtools libraries are available and only activates
it automatic if it finds them the Option that force yuv4mpeg is:
--enable-yuv4mpeg.
zoran driver use a dma engine and needs a minimum number of
buffers to be present before start streaming.
That is 'min_dma_buffers_needed' purpose so use it instead
of 'min_buffers_needed' field.
