Thanks for the reply. However, I saw some posts from 2009 which indicated
that there were problems with Eclipse on snow leopard. I was hoping to
find some more up to date information before starting ont he eclipse
learning curve.

Hi all!
I'm having this weird problem which has just started within the past week or so.
When I press command-shift-a in finder to open the applications window, my
finder gives me a busy error and I have to force quit the finder.
Any ideas or remedies?

I've done that both from Utilities and from the command-r at startup to get

Did you read the section in the manual about what to do if services doesn't
appear? They have some steps that you might want to do. Can't remember what
they are right now but they are in the user manual.

That is so weird. I am using mavericks on a macbook with 8 gigs of ram and not

I seem to remember that you said you don't have basic and standard gmail
options. When I use my gmail bookmark in safari I still see basic and standard
html, and can change between them.
Just thought you might want to know as there might be a way for you to still do

I seem to remember there being an "empty trash" option in gmail when you are on
the web site which will clear the trash folder. I also thought that when I did
shift-command-delete from apple mail that it emptied the trash--while using
iMap. Maybe wrong about that.

What dashboard manager are you talking about? I've never seen anything like
that. I just had a sighted friend look on his mac at dashboard using 10.9 and
he said the only thing on the screen were the widgets and a plus or minus to
add or delete them. Just curious.

If you want to get rid of widgets you can delete them from the library folder.
The ones you've installed will be in your home library and the ones that came
with mavericks will, I believe be in the main library folder.

I believe it is possible to re-order the columns. Maybe you could move the
message number after the subject or whichever is first.

In my face tie window I have the contacts button selected and then it gives me
a scroll area with a table of all my contacts. From there I can make an audio
of video facetime call.

Can you make a call through your contacts? If so, wonder if you could get into
preferences while making a call?
