Why am I getting these? When the 3gs first came out, I seem to

If it's not a dhcp issue like jon suggested, could it be that one
device is 11g and the other is 11n? You can get weird issues when some
routers try and do boh standards at once, the solution being to switch
to g only.

no power at all, but hey, who knows.
The reason I suggested using usb was so that we could rule out the
motherboard and so that if the os was for some very strange reason

Lets be honest though, it's not like ram is expencive unless your

You shouldn't notice a difference between those 2 cpu's; I doubt you
even need a quad core really. I don't know what configurations the new
laptops come in, but perhaps you could use the money you will save by
opting for the lower cpu to upgrade your ram if you've opted for less
than 4GB?

It really doesn't sound like a quad is required in this situation. If
someones doing the type of work where a quad would come in useful,

Well, one advantage that the iPhone has over the touch is that it can
make calls, which is why I have it.
If your comparing iPhones to iPod touches, the only difference between
both of the 4th gen devices is that the iPhone has the ability to make
calls and a better camera.

If you've never done it before and don't feel confident messing around
with electronics, I'd suggest that you get someone else to do it.
Having said this, adding ram is one of the most easiest upgrades you
can do, but it all boils down to if you want to take the (Fairly
small) chance of breaking so
Are you talking about the hard drive or the optical drive?
The hard drive can be replaced with any 2.5 sata drive, but the
optical drive is a poticula notebook one; I'm not sure which. Bear in
mind that fitting iether part will not be easy and will require you to
take the mini more or less complet
So you've completed a snow leopard install from a dvd and its still
not booting? This could be the drive but could also be a number of
other things. I think in this situation, it would be best to take it
to apple and see what they say.
