I've upgraded ram, optical and a hdd on a bondy blue imac, optical was a bit of a bugger but once its done, its pretty easy to do it again. Probably the hardist apple I had to service was a ibook dule usb 500mhz. sadly that machine died shortly after the upgrade but it was showing inverter faults
