To be honest, your probably going to be better off buying some dule
layer dvd's; most of the newer macs have dule layer burners anyway.
Another option might be to try and find a program that will write the
dmg to usb and then to boot from usb but I can't give you any names at
the moment.

This may be jumping the gun a bit and the last thing I want is to
start an argument, but if i'm correct in assuming that your dmg is
some form of osx, can't you just run it with in what ever os your
running atm?
