I've upgraded ram, optical and a hdd on a bondy blue imac, optical was a bit of a bugger but once its done, its pretty easy to do it again. Probably the hardist apple I had to service was a ibook dule usb 500mhz. sadly that machine died shortly after the upgrade but it was showing inverter faults before it was opened anyway.
I'd love to be able to swap the 5400 drive in my emac for a nice 7200 one but can't find any howto's on opening the emac 1.42 - anyone? I'm usually not that fussed about finding a guide or anything but this is my main mac and I don't really want to kill anything.
