Hi Mike,
You did a clean install, and I wonder if that had something to do with your
luck. You put together a very nice podcast on doing that, and I believe I might
try that over the weekend if I get a spare hour or so. If it doesn't work out,
I always have my time machine backup. :)

Hi Ricardo,
I use my Macbook for a number of work related tasks which I don't feel
comfortable entrusting to Lion. I don't have time to worry about dealing with
major bugs in either Safari or the main OS in general. If I did have the time,
I would of course ferret out these bugs and report them.
I also have not had any major issues, as far as using it, actually it's exactly
the same as snow leppard for me, I don't use any of the new IOS like features.

It might be best to choose "import" from the ITunes file menu and bring the

this might cause problems. If this isn't the case, I apologize, but I hope
importing into the library works well in this instance.

Hello Cody,
As a matter of interest, have you installed the Safari extension Adblock? Also,
in Safari preferences, under the Security tab, have you checked the check box

The nightly builds of Web Kit are more advanced than what Safari currently
uses. Note, though, these are test builds, so it isn't a silver bullet
solution. In other words, the nightly build might have problems of its own
once in a while. However, these things tend to be fixed pretty quick

Thanks John for that info, greatly appreciated. I've not done much digging into

I'll keep it in mind. I haven't tried webkit because since it's basically the

The reality is, Safari is a problem in Lion with VoiceOver. From the
technical information I have read, this is more of a Safari issue than a

However, with that said, it seems these issues vary with person to person.

Cody, in some cases, to speak frankly, it is a matter of not being familiar

No, I disagree. There is no reason why voiceover should randomly decide to stop

Hi,
I won't take sides here, as I don't believe that it is a "sides" issue. Levels
of comfort and ease of adaptability to the changes in look and feel of Lion
vary with individuals and they should do whatever they feel so that their
experience remains positive.

Hi chris,
Lion for me is fine, but it does seem that the main issues are with safari.
Mail was easy to configure back to the classic views and the way it used to be.
Safari will lock up and I have not tried webkit but I'm afraid since webkit is
safari's engine, that wk will not be much better.

I agree with you Cody. So many bugs are machine-specific. I don't think it's
