couldn't find the .ind file:

Settings\lyx_tmpdir1208a00992\lyx_tmpbuf0\newfile1.idx
The lyx_tmpbuf0 directory also contained several other files, including
newfile1.log. It contained
, called lyx and stuck the files
there. Kind of a hack, but I don't update very often. Good luck.

always include that flag. I noticed that flag was often used in
various postings to the Trolltech site, fwiw. But there was never
any discussion of the flags themselves in those posts.

LyX 1.3.7 works fine for me under Windows XP, with or without a network
connection. Not so for LyX 1.4.1.
When I unplug from or disable the LAN, LyX fails to launch, with an error screen
up for a split-second.
After several quick-draw attempts, I was able to freeze and screen-capture the

In my case, J: is a rarely-used network drive, so I unchecked "reconnect at

I use lyx 1.4.3 with linux (Fedora Core 5), and in the past have found it
useful to define the environment variable
BIBINPUTS = /home/jim/my_bibfiles
My impression was that this allowed bibtex by default to search for .bib
files in this particular directory, so that when it came to adding .bib

I think that perhaps \paragraph{\marginpar{\paragraph{ blah }}} could be
disallowed in LyX, because it doesn't make any sense, but something like
\paragraph{\marginpar{\itemize{ blah }}} makes sense and might one day work, if
this LaTeX bug is fixed. So overall I don't think LyX should do anything about

LaTeX already installed is LyX-2.0.0-2-Installer.exe).

integrals instead of beside the integrals (the default). I'm aware from
the documentation that the following works for double integrals:

This successfully produces the pdf output I want, but within the Lyx

help. In v.2.3.3 file saving was practically instantaneous. As far as I
can tell this hangup is specifically a v.2.3.4 issue.

Will the Windows binaries for the official 2.3.0 release be available soon?
