Just a followup: I tried building LyX 1.3.5 with KDE 3.4.2 and it fails at exactly the same point as LyX 1.3.6, so, fwiw, it seems to be either a KDE or a QT/KDE problem, not just a problem with the new LyX. Too bad, as I was hoping to upgrade Konqueror, but not if it causes me to lose LyX. Cheers, Jim
