I've got them both--and frankly, I'm not finding them all that
useful.  Seems like just when I think I've gotten it figured out, LyX
pukes on the stuff I've added. Neither package is giving me exactly
what I want.

I'm not expert with LyX, but I have done a thesis or two with it, so I
know what it can produce.  This project has been much more frustrating.
