Hello all
Today i installed the lyx basic installer from lyx ftp site and the problem is
solved there. Furthermore there are some graphical issues which gives lyx a
better look and feel under vista.

The path is given to PDFViewWin by LyX. PDFViewWin doesn't change it, it takes the path and test if
there is really a PDF to start its actions.

Using the PDFViewWin.exe (and related files) that come with Uwe's
installer (v1.5.1) I experience the following:
- Acrobat Standard 7.0: PDF-View works fine. To update the view, I run
again PDF-View. The document is updated in Acrobat and sometimes, but

Okay, i tried a little bit and if i call hte pdfviewwin inside a console with
exactly the given path which is printed in the dialog box the same window
appears.
That assured my opinion that pdfviewwin dont recieve a correct path. Who is
calling this file? lyx itself or a python script?

Yes, the path exists and there is also a pdf file named like my document and
containg my compiled lyx stuff,

OK, this has nothing to do with acroread/acrobat. Could you please check if the Path given in the
error dialog
Damn i forgot something to write.
today i installed the 1.5.1 on another PC. OS on this PC is XP SP2 and with
actual acrobat reader 8.1 .
Lyx is working fine there and there is now problem with pdf-preview.

Today i tried to install the new lyx 1.5.1. For this i downloaded first the
lyxwininstaller from berlios project page and let it run.
After installing und updating all parts lyx needs i updated miktex to the
actual state.
Then i tried to start but it won't work. So i looked a little bit ar
