I just tried, but I don't see the problem with current CVS here. I'll report
when I am back at the other machine with pre4.

Thanks,

Compiling and installing works fine, with one quirk: The installed version
does not find tex2lyx:
I would be glad if someone could download pre4 and take it for a quick
spin before I announce it on the users list.

I am trying to put a picture (a logo) in a table cell.
What I expect is that the cell will grow big enough to
contain the image, and not much more. (Unless other table
cells force it bigger of course.)
gif and eps images seems to work with only small
problems. The top of the image touch the tab

This indeed works fine. My confusion was that in lyx-1.1.6 when adding a
figure float a default caption was added to the float and all I had to do was
inser->label. But in lyx-1.2.0-pre4 no such default caption is added and I
have to set the text (b

I would like to reemphasize this! Try it with the user's guide; it took 20
secs on my pIII 600.
1. open users guide
2. change language in document dialog

Hello folks,
Is there a recommended way to get 1.2.0pre4 to link on Cygwin?
I'm using recent cygwin, bxforms-0.89 with libforms.a in place. LyX
compiles OK. On linking, however, it seems that libforms.a isn't
linked against: all references from the frontends bit are complained
to be undefined.

Hi,
Finally lyx users like me can try out lyx-1.2.0
I just compiled the lyx-1.2.0 pre4 downloaded from the link given at this

The lyx-users mailing list asked for comments on this pre release. Here they

Hi Guys,
Having done as Lars requested I've found that in changing from 1.0.0-pre2
to 1.0.0-pre4 the latex command "\today" no longer works. I have both
binaries still available. With 1.0.0-pre2 I get the correct date stamp,
ie November 26, 1998. However with 1.0.0-pre4
