I am trying to put a picture (a logo) in a table cell.
What I expect is that the cell will grow big enough to
contain the image, and not much more. (Unless other table
cells force it bigger of course.)

gif and eps images seems to work with only small
problems. The top of the image touch the table
border, but I can fix that. The small issue is that
something seems to insists on having some unnecessary
white space under the image, making the cell taller
than necessary.

jpeg does not work well, almost half of it extends past
the top of the table.

I can use workarounds so far (i.e. convert jpeg
to gif), but not for this:

turning on subfigure to get an image title
lets me type something, but latex seems to
go into an infinite loop so this
is unprintable. No dvi either of course.
