Further to the bug report yesterday I've included a sample file which 
I hope should be able to replicate the fault.

Sorry, I should have looked at this more closely.  It only happens when 
the ERT is put in the Chapter or Section headings.  It works fine in 
standard text, in the author field (silly I know) and, as Garst has 
shown, in the title page.  So far I've only found it's faulty under under 
the <alt> P type headers.
