Would it be possible to provide e remote lyx session to ms-windows users?
That would allow users to edit and store documents on a safe file-server.
Users could do without both local lyx and latex installation, while the
resulting pdf files could be printed locally.
Thank you

Will the next major lyx release use xml to store documents?
Would it be possible to inquire from google to embody the lyx editor into
its 'docs' section?
Just an idea from a long time user.
best.
---P
Stretching the horizontal or vertical dimension of a xy-pic digram is
currently not possible in lyx, since stretching requires the @-character,
that is interpreted by lyx as ending the XY-matrix-macro.
Would it be possible to overcome that problem, in the next 1.6.x lyx
release?
Thanks

way, in my opinion "http://"; could be added as default protocol, if none

address.

Restarting lyx, any of the four open files has been retained in
the 'recently open files' list.

Hyperlinks, although entered as of 'Web type', are not translated into http
addresses, when the pdf file is produced, if the 'http:://' prefix is
missing in the target field.
E.g., maxima.sourceforge.met is considred as the name of a local file,
rather than an http address.

umentclass declaration may fix this.
Try typingto proceed.
Everything is ok, as I the \usepackage[nice]{nicefrac} in the preamble is
commented out.
By the way, wouldn't be convenient LyX to proceed in such cases?

1.6.0rc1 : Changing text attributes is not echoed in the text style panel,
if the "apply changes immediately" option has been checked.
Is that a feature? It s not clear to me what is the difference between that
option and the 'apply' button.

ot; and "Name" hints could be replaced by more explicative

If pictures can be embodied into lyx 1.6 files, could that feature be turned
on by default?
I believe that is the expected setting, especially for new adopters.

No, the the same tree as before: 'make clean' && svn update
Is that the same than a fresh tree?
Then: ./configure --with-vers

Here is a lyx 1.4.4 one-line file, where two labels have been included.
As i try to insert a cross reference to one label by choosing 'apply' in the
panel, lyx crashes. Choosing 'ok' rather than 'apply' works as expected,

In lyx 1.4.1, default article class, italian language, subsections and
subsubsections are weirdly enumerated by the phrase
"E' privo di senso"(meaning 'no sense').
That is obviously a gross mistake of the italian set up, that should be
fixed as soon as possible.

I forgot to add that i am compiling lyx 1.4
The compiled lyx 1.4 executable from cvs, last april, was 4.2 megabytes;
but in that case compilation had been accoplished on ordinary intel

However the stripped down executable is very large, about 11 megabytes.
