<posted & mailed> Another wish is to be able to assemble materials by dragging & dropping files into the working document. Presently Drag&Drop on a lyx instance opens a new view, rather than inserting into the currently open doc.
I am thinking about a sort of improvement of the Insert->File->LyxDocument operation, placing dragged file at the cursor position, possibly retaining the identity of dropped items, allowing author to move them across the document. Than would foster the authors' attitude to break up their work into self-consistent parts and, i imagine, would greatly improve re-usability. -- Pol
