This seems to be a bug of lyx: if the document is Hebrew th
switch back to
an older version of LyX (1.2.x), but then you'll have to comile from sources.
Otherwise, there is a workaround that I can't quite remember.

It looks like the heblatex stuff from CTAN has been merged into
Debian's tetex.

I want to replace the 'Hell' string in that eps with a LaTeX
expression such as 'Heaven'. Now what is wrong with this:
