All is in the title.
Thanks to Aron Griffis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, gentoo portage have
lilypond-2.4.2 and 2.5.2 ebuild in portage :o)
Strange thing, the stable ebuild is 2.0.3...
Both comes with a depedency for media-fonts/ec-fonts-mftraced-1.0.8
(still masked too).
Maybe a need for more testing.

Hi,
this question belongs in the lilypond-user list.
Thanks!

Could someone look at my file (and compile it) please and advice me how
to solve stanzas of this kind of scores:
The first 8 measures are sung only once. In the 9th measure, a Repeat
bar is opened and there are 3 repeats (3 stanzas) from the repeat bar
till the end of score. Now, I made 3 stanza
Hi Werner
(not sure whether this should be moved to lilypond-hackers, but here
goes.. )
I had a look at using Pango for typesetting text. See the attached
program. I am wondering: are the number codes (printed as c XXX)
really unicode codes? When I convert
\'all
as utf-8, I get

I mentioned one in my original email. I haven't investigated deeply,

from within the manual, and came up with the following list:

You certainly increase my confusion! Isn't the point that people want to
use \lyricsto to match music to lyrics, but at the same time be able
to tell LilyPond that "Now there shouldn't be any lyrics for 10 bars,
then you should start the matching again".
An underline is perfectly useful to skip a s

I think we have to realize that there is no single form of
documentation that suites all needs. We already now have
the Tutorial which contains material from the Notatation
manual but presented in another way. The set of examples in the
Tips and Tricks and in the Regression Tests documents is anoth
Hi,
I've looked at the documentation of Pango, but I'm still a bit
mystified. I can get a OT font into pango, with
PangoOTInfo *pango_ot_info_get (FT_Face face);
in the end, I need to run
pango_shape()
to convert a UTF8 string to a PangoGlyphString. Should I try to get a

I am an sporadic Lilypond user, who tries to keep up to date with the
syntax changes reading the user and devel lists. I have to type many
different sorts of music, and usually no template fits me well. I find
it very difficult to find the answers for my questions in the manual.
