Best support for green glass idea is a block of foam as used in bed mattresses
with heavy plastic over it. Sit the foam on a piece of board and press up under
wing with several little car jacks to get even pressure. Done this heaps when

Hmmm... speaking of monokote and things, I wonder if Poly-Tak will stick to
fiberglass? You could get regular fabric finishing tapes, Poly-Tak them
down over the wing gap, heat shrink, Poly-Brush, and paint just like a
fabric covered airplane. The gap seals wouldn't be removable like a metal

Hello Netters,
Another very simple resolve is to use a 3M Vinyl tape that's used for
marking out
basket ball courts, very simple to use and pliable in any color and does a
good job. Usually can be found at a fastening supplier.
Does not leave a residue when removed. Good Luck and

i used white flashing strips & made the top oiece end underneath & made a
second piece for the bottom. the top part overlaps the bottom part to make the
compound curve. then i ran a slight edge bend along both side edges so they lay
tight to the surface. just screwed them down, painted to match

Garry Morgan used aluminium strips.
Then pop riveted a few small brackets on the under side, then used elastic
bungee cord to fold them on.
works fine.

OK, I've already heard all the ways to fill the stub-to-outer wing gap, but
it wouldn't hurt to hear 'em all again.

I ask;
How many times does that make?
Since your May 5th Picture shows wings not stuck on. Guess you will be doing it
at least one more time. Hows your WAFs look?
Can't wait to see it in the air!

But my gaps are only 1/4" and I'll cover them with GAP SEAL tape when I get

Hi all
Roof flashing from Menards is a grate idea but Menards has not made it
to Alabama yet.
Menards stores are only in the midwest for now!
any ways
I drilled one end of my sub spar today.
that little U shaped jig works GRATE.
I put the new spar pitchers on my web site for all to see.

Actually, that is quite easy. Do a glass lay-up, that is wide and long
enough to cover the gap, on a piece of plastic sheet, on a flat surface. Do
it when you can catch it when it has not completely cured. You want it to be
almost out of the tacky stage and still soft. Now lay it over your wing and
