Again I had the same problem. But mine was caused when I cleaned the front
after spilling a bit of oil on the front leg it ran down into the pivot and
cursed less friction. I had to remove clean it all and I too have the pivot but

After several months (actually since late January) I flew N886MJ again today.

Oil leaks are very hard to find with brand new clean oil, especially
with oil already on the engine so you can't see where new oil is
leaking. Best way is to use the flourescent dye and UV light you can

Netters,
After two short ground runs yesterday to check for oil leaks I fired
up and made the first flight after overhaul. After an hour at
altitude over the airport I landed , only to find oil all over the
belly with oil dripping off the tailwheel spring. A major leak? I
guess so. I ha

Actually I didn't but it sure did stop quick. The temps here have been
fluctuating quite a bit and I did not check the tire pressure. When the tire

Irrelevant to your grumpy engine, I cannot remember, do you have a VW ?
if so 3000 RPM static sounds a bit low, 3100 would be better, sounds
