Today again I was up at dawn and headed to the airport. What a beautiful morning for flying. I headed over to Lake Michigan and went north up the shore line to Oshkosh and circled north of the field. Then I went west before turning back south to Hartford for a beautiful approach and landing. The only thing about this flight was that it was pure fantasy as I never left the hanger. It was one of those flights where you get in the KR and make airplane noises with your eyes closed while pretending to go somewhere. For those of you who do not know, my engine is torn down right now while I am waiting on parts to arrive for re-assembly. However, I did install a Narco 11A Com this morning. The radio works great and is a huge improvement over a handheld. Now the tower can't say I am scratchy and unreadable.
