you are correct. I got rid of the fuel pump for gravity flow alone
before I ever got the plane out of the work shop. I have a fuel
pressure guage and the header tank keeps the areo carb happy all the
time between .7 # and 1.2#

I acquired a pressure gauge and we adjusted the pressure to the Aero
carb down to 1.2 pounds. Given it's relationship to the Posa carb and
all the adjustment sequences one needs to go through to get it set
right, and then insure it runs the same with the cowl installed, I'm
wondering if this is something I want to be flying behind at my
advanced age as I'll probably be making the first flight or two. The
good thing is I'll have 8000 feet of runway with a cross runway so if
the engine quits I should be able to land somewhere on the airport.
Life is good and life can be thrilling if you allow it.
