Did you download the Apple Silicon version (Gnucash-Arm-5.10-1) or the Intel
version (Gnucash-Intel-5.10-1)?

Apple introduced some kind of bug in 15.1 (maybe 15.2). GnuCash was changed
to get around the problem, so you definitely need the latest version of
GnuCash. As has been stated, please ensure that you download the right
version.

Ah you must be right, my apple MacBook is from 2017 and my iMac from

Dear GnuCash Community,
I recently upgraded GnuCash on my Mac to Version 5.10 and noticed a
significant change in the CSV import feature. The "Deposit" and
"Withdrawal" fields have been replaced with "Amount," "Amount (Negated),"

You’re using an old version of gnucash. What system version of macOS are you

Chris,
Upgrade Gnucash to 5.9-2 or 5.10-1. There is a known problem with 5.8 and MacOS
15, definitely with Apple Chips. I am not sure if it affects Intel chips, but
it probably does.
Best wishes,
Will

While there are newer versions available, you do not need to upgrade to
solve your problem. Simply click on "Open Anyway". That message indicates
that the last time GnuCash was running your computer shut down before you
closed GnuCash.

Ok, Thanks David & David.
I managed to download the Apple Silicon version 5.10-1. It comes into
Applications as a 15December 2024 date - not today’s date which left me
confused.
However, it seems to have populated all my data so I am more than relieved!
Thanks for all your advice and help.
Owen.
