Hi Jim, Ah you must be right, my apple MacBook is from 2017 and my iMac from 2014 so my knowledge is a bit hazy on what Sequioa runs on these days.- it's been quite some time since I had a mocOS version update on the MacBook let alone the iMac.
These threads are all over the place on users having issues after upgrading to Sequioa and I thought I remembered a posting from John Ralls that said you needed to update to the latest version and may have misremebered if it was talking about apple silicon chips. So you're correct of course, Chris should download the latest correct version for his machine and install that to get going again. Cheers David H.
