One important thing to note is that an extra tab for plural form won't be sufficient. There are a number of languages which either have no plural form or which have a number of plural forms. As such, the interface will have to read the Plural-Forms line of the PO in order to know how many tabs

I don't know how gtkspell compares with libsexy, but in most distributions they are patched to use enchant instead of aspell. I know enchant doesn't replace aspell, but that what happens: the library (gtkspell, libsexy etc) can effectively use hunspell, ispell, aspell, *spell... http://forums.gent
