Google is your friend. First link on HIEW search goes to
http://www.serje.net/sen/
also
http://webhost.kemtel.ru/~sen/
which both allow downloading 6.11 as the "LATEST FREE version". It can be downloaded,
since I just tried it.

Yes!
QuickBasic was born in version 1.0, of course and
reached version 4.5. Later, I don't know what happened
and one day there appeared versions 7.0 and 7.1 which
are called QBX (BC70 or BC71, also Microsoft Basic).
Before these last ones, I think, MS developed the

Eric,
I forgot to tell you that, even when my AWE64 does not work (i.e.: synth) under FreeDOS, it does very well under MS-DOS. Of course, no driver loaded in any of them, only the initialization PnP program. Another problem I've had in FreeDOS is that for some reason, my old QuickBASIC does no
Hi Lucas,
you do not really want to know about VCPI :-). VCPI is a lowlevel
interface which allows to share protected mode among several hosts
(EMM386 is one, but our EMM386 does not allow sharing). If your
program is the only protected mode program, no VCPI is available.

Hi, people!
I like programming a lot of stuff since long ago, but I think I never took it as seriously as now. For example, right now I'm having a problem: I want to program a game for DOS, a neoclassic, but I want it to use SVGA (using VESA) and a doublebuffer. The problem is that a doublebuf

I have FreeDOS Beta 9 pre-release4 and I made an attempt to install it to my old Pentium 90. I have no trouble running the boot disk or the CD. I partitioned and formated the c: drive and installed the system boot files. The c: drive will boot up fine. The boot floppy works too. All works well un
