I'v got the same problem as cbudden.
When I logout in standard metacity (non-xgl) configuration, the normal Log Out
Dialog appears, with all the options available.
When I do the same while using XGL, the lower row isn't longer available (only:
log out, switch user and lock screen)
I do
x doesn't ask. Gnome did at the time.
Sebastian, Daniel any idea why gnome doesn't check anylonger? X does not run
and never did xmodmap automatically.

This bug needs to be fixed for dapper -- drag and drop is the most
usable way of extracting files. It's a serious usability problem for
this to be broken, especially since file roller gives the illusion of
the file being extracted even though it's not.

It seems cups isn't accepting configuration changes, and gnome-cups-manager
ignores ~/.cups/lpoptions.
If that file is coppied to /etc/cups the changes are seen and applied. It must
be something related to running things with suid. If gnome-cups-manager is run
with sudo, the changes get applied
The same happens with Flight 7. I can't believe the bug is still
unconfirmed. Has anybody tried booting a thinkpad T40 with a recent
dapper live cd?

The problem is abiword-plugins, which would depend on libgoffice-1-2,
libgoffice-1-common and libgsf-gnome-1-113. Abiword-plugins-gnome
should depend on these packages, not abiword-plugins.

Actually, the oddest thing happened recently. I tried the MP3s on my
onboard sound card (SIS something or other) and they worked fine. (I
used to be playing them on my USB Audigy 2 NX).
Now, though, I can't seem to re-enable the Audigy as a sound playback
device.

Do you still have the issue? What version of Ubuntu and gdm do you use?
That works fine for me with dapper. Could you activate the "Enable debug
messages to system log" option with gdmsetup ("Security" tab) and copy
the log from /var/log/syslog to a comment after login in out and being
