Actually, the oddest thing happened recently. I tried the MP3s on my onboard sound card (SIS something or other) and they worked fine. (I used to be playing them on my USB Audigy 2 NX).
Now, though, I can't seem to re-enable the Audigy as a sound playback device. Weird.
