It doesn’t take much rust to make a stain on vinyl.
I have some minor rust staining where the swaged joints meet the vinyl. And
the vinyl has cracked in a few places along the lines and some staining shows
ilure.

I replaced my lifelines with bare wire, using the swageless hardware from C.S.
Johnson. Bought it all from Defender. E
I used Dyneema. Very easy to splice. I put shroud covers on the
forward section of top lifeline to prevent the jib from chafing. Used
thimbles on the ends that are lashed to the stanchion.
