Single braid dyneema is real easy to splice. 
I'm pretty sure it's fairly UV resistant too!

I have been interested in the synthetic line option myself.  The biggest concern for me is the abrasion resistance.  As for swaging, I wouldn't be to concerned about it.  The knots used for holding the synthetic lines can be quite a challenge too.  Check out suncore's swagless fittings available online at Bosun Supplies.  I've used then with ease and even replaced all of the standing rigging on my MacGregor 26C with them.
