Could it be that C&C started using the ZCC designation for boats built in Canada long before the RI facility opened in 1976. Data I have shows 35 MKII's built in March 1974 had the ZCC designation, that's 2 years before the RI facility opened. The only connection to the RI facility opening is tha

ZCC has never been used in the U.S. at any time for any C&C boat. The sequence is very simple. C&C Canada was CCY until the U.S Plant went into operation. At that moment, C&C Canada became ZCC and the U.S plant was assigned CCY. The U.S plant went into operation February 1976. So, in short, a

I use silicone dielectric (non-conducting) grease all the time on electrical components such as battery terminals and spark plugs. I think the idea is that it eliminates water/air/chemical intrusion and subsequent corrosion. The metal contacts poke through the grease and make "contact". Josh Muc
