Sander,
For a brief period in the late 1970's, C&C had a factory in Germany. The C&C
25 is one of the models that was built there. Occasionally, I see one for sale
in Germany. But your boat (1974) was built before the German factory opened.

Sander,
The 25 is really a great boat. You dont have to worry about the hull, its
very strong.
Fill in the hole from the saildrive and put an outboard on the stern, they
sail better this way. You will want an 8 or 9.9 hp extra long shaft (25
shaft) to try to prevent the prop from coming o
Dave - I used Aurora Sure Step once, and was pleased with the
performance. However, it's important to note that I followed the
directions, which stated to keep applying it until the old porous gel
coat stopped absorbing it. It really seemed to take a lot. I used ten

What do people treat decks with during the season, or do you not treat at all. I did not like the Woody Wax product at all and not sure if Aurora Sure Step is worth trying. Thanks- Dave

You’ve got that right Rich. I was supposed to launch tomorrow but the crane
company had to cancel on Friday.
They couldn’t get one of their rough terrain cranes back to the city for
tomorrow due to load restrictions on the roads around where they are working
right now.
I’m not a happy camp
Alan,
Wally might have made the same point as you, although, I will admit, I

If your anchor line is nylon I believe it will hold up better and last
longer if it is kept wet. You could use plastic thimbles and stainless
steel shackles or maybe try attaching small sacrificial anodes near the
shackles and thimbles. I have a beautiful stainless steel Bruce knock off

Good idea for the milk crate. Also; its not unusual for the little drain hole

I'm thinking of buying a milk crate and cutting it up and laying it in

I owned a 25 for about five years and was very happy with it.
Mine was extremely well-built and, after 30 years, had no structural problems.
It is roomy for a 25-footer and the interior setup was fine, except there was
no permanent home for a stove.

Hi Sander, first place to check out is this link below, if you haven't
already, for all things C&C. Then I'm sure in the next couple of days the
large contingent of 25 owners will chime in.

Sander,
You have discovered the best source for information on C&C's. They are strong
well made boats. They sail and perform very well.
While I don't own or have personal knowledge of the 25, there are others on
this list that do. Hopefully, they will provide you with much information in

Hello readers,
Whilst browsing our local (Dutch) boat market websites, I came across a C&C

I really like how it looks, and I have a bit of a weak spot for IOR class

Thing is, I couldn't find much information about this boat, nobody I know in
Holland has ever heard of C&C Yachts.
