The Volume Retention only comes into place if I do a a manual prune

I started one of my first restores. Bacula asked for a
volume, I loaded and mounted it, off it went. It
worked through that and wanted the next volume (this
was a multi-tape job.) Loaded the tape, but when
trying to mount it I get:
*mount

I think I've been having trouble with used tapes so
I'm on new Fuji's now. Figured my data compression
woes would be gone now that I have true unformatted
tapes, but upon loading one, the drive's "DC" light

After that, set the drive to 40g/no compression and
wrote some data, then quit
About that oops I reported earlier... I tried loading

went into this odd read loop that nothing could get it

use the mentioned volume again
Bacula has been working great this week in handling my

The only big error I have run into is a "Error writing

Thanks for all the tips.
According to btape, it is the right label
Bacula just stumped me; I started it off appending to
a volume. Bacula diligently stated that it would have
to skip to the unused block (I'd un/mounted the
volume, so it back at 1). However, as it seeked, the
drives' LCD said "WRITING" instead of "SEEKING" which
it usually says during such chores.
Thanks for the help. I'm trying VolumeToCatalog, and I
believe it is working. My problem with testing was
probably that I was expecting Bacula to make another
checksum for the disk file that was backed up and
compare that with what's on the volume. When in fact
it doesn't, it uses what's in the cat

The scripts used to break and make the sqlite tables
were using a pathname from a prior install. updated
pathnames and it works (or doesn't work, if data-laden
sql tables are your thing).

Ok. I thought the verify and fileset I'd set up was
supposed to verify by MD5 checksums, but I might have
messed that up.
I've been playing with verifies and they seem to pass
