Hi,
Recently, I've been experiencing audio problems with ALSA in general.
I've been trying to get Flightgear 0.9.2 and TORCS to run properly, but
both of them had audio problems where the simulations would just hang
for about a minute before returning input control. Now, after further

I can't get my revo [ice1724] card to work the way I'd want. What I want
is to send 5.1 sound to my receiver. My receiver has external decoder
inputs in 5.1, as well as coax and optical S/PDIF inputs. I can't get
any of these to work right.

Just an update and another plea for help..
I'm now running 2.4.21 with ACPI and low-latency. The CPU-load and
full-duplex problems still exist. This is on a Dell Inspiron 600m
(Centrino). Could it be a problem with Centrino/i855/PCMCIA support in
the kernel? lspci reports the CardBus and IS

I will probably add a better sound card to this system eventually.
For the time being, however, I have found a configuration that works

You also need libasound and alsa-utils. ALSA is divided into kernel-

I have determined after fighting with this chipset for almost a year,
its not worth it.
dxs_support=3 works for me, but I have crashed the driver with it.
I have had no other problems, other than i cant play more than 1 stream
on it or the second application will die, just not work, ect.
I think

Hi,
I am sorry to bring this topic up again since I've asked several questions
about this card and the alsa drivers already but I'm still at a loss when it
comes to enabling the digital in/out on this card and actually playing sound
through this interface.
When I was asked to include my asound.sta
Hi all,
I want to run VoIP with kphone on my good old dell latitude laptop (366Mhz
Pentium II). The integrated sound device neomagic 256av is supported by alsa
in full duplex mode :)
As kphone requires oss-like devices I use snd-pcm-oss and snd-mixer-oss, but
the sound is ragged and has lots o
