It's been a long time so I don't recall much but I used to 'rm -rf /lib/modules/kernel-version' and rebuild it completely. Also, I would not include the driver module in the kernel only soundcore. You build the driver when compiling alsa. Then you'll load that with alsasound init script which reads the /etc/modules.d/alsa file. Well, that's how I recall it doing it. YMMV. ron > A check of the above directory indicates that the > es1371.o file does in fact exists. > > The new kernel boots but running sndconfig also > fails > to locate es1371.0 > > At this point I have two questions. > 1) Is this the correct kernel configuration? > 2) If 1 is yes why is es1371.o not being found? > > Thanks > Steven Jones > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built > ASP.NET sites including > Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are > available now. > Download today and enter to win an XBOX or Visual > Studio .NET. > http://aspnet.click-url.com/go/psa00100006ave/direct;at.asp_061203_01/01 > _______________________________________________ > Alsa-user mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
