Ever since I got bamboozled into deploying a WiMax basestation, I have been
skeptical of tree penetration hype.
We have been deploying Cambium 450 in 3.5 GHz / CBRS and it’s great, but it
doesn’t “penetrate” trees. OK, an SM within a mile can go through 1 or 2
trees, depending on the size/d
Has anyone done a comparison or know of a whitepaper between LTE and
Cambium? I am mainly looking at tree penetration or lower DB signals to
actual throughput comparison. I have been told that LTE gets a little
better tree penetration but if that is at a low rate that really doesn't
help any.

OK, a little Googling on massive MIMO antennas like Nokia Airscale, and it
seems to refer to 3D beamforming and/or antenna elements for different bands.

That must mean something different than I was thinking. Like 64 time slices
for different traffic, or dividing the 360 degrees into 64 antenna beams.

OK, those look good, like little Mexican pitas. I’m not so sure about pupusas.

I thought maybe they were like a chalupa, but no. Maybe a chalupa is a failed
gordita that is too big and doesn’t form a pocket so you use it like a thick
taco shell.
Sprint\T-Mo has done 64x64.

Similar to a Gordita but with thicker wrapper.

I don't think they do. From the most recent book I have on LTE
(forward-looking/dated 2011), it appears that they were planning to use
channels as wide as 20 MHz with an aggregation of as many
Vertical or slant probably won’t make a difference with the way the signals
scramble and mix as they bounce off things.

I've never eaten a pupusa. Put some smoked peppers and spicy vinegar and
avocados and bacon on them?

The cell boosters come with vertical antennas... they need to make mu-mimo
cell boosters with antennas to handle the signals..

I still can’t wrap my head around how they get ∞x∞ MIMO and 1.21 gigawattsbits
from 5 MHz of spectrum. I understand MU-MIMO and beamsteering and all that,
but when they start tossing around stuff like 8x8 MIMO I don’t see how you get
that many orthogonal signals on the same frequency.
But f
I have a passive antenna experiment in the works. Rather than guess at the
right slant, I think I will try V pol initially.

When GSM began they started using vertical polarization. But as the need for
capacity arose antennas changed to slant 45 X polarization.

I do think the list could pay for itself if we sold cookbooks. I made that

I had to eat and hit the road, so I just got toast. Not even the toast of
kings. OK, it was raisin toast. So maybe the toast of princes.
Scared to do even minor work on the network during the week with all the kids
and their remote learning. You don’t want a bunch of moms screaming at you
You and we have a similar avocado situation. I like mine sliced,
but my wife likes to just scoop it out with a spoon. And you're
right; it tastes the same.

Raspberry Vinegar reduced to ticken. I prefer my avocados sliced but my
