KX-T: KX-T123210 Manual

2002-01-08 Thread Laposi Levente

Hi!

I'm new here, our dormitory has a KX-T123210 system and KX-T7030 phone
set, and I would like to setup it to fit our requests.
Can anyone help me, how to get service and installation manual?
But any documentation and programs are useful.

Thanks,

Levente

I agree, but Jamie, learn to read. You managed to tell a CERTIFIED Pana

actually, using the "EIA" mode you can save and
restore with the rs232 port, but the system goes
"off-line" while in EIA mode.

if you look at the data, and realize what it is, you
can use an "ascii" editor to change the saved data,
and reload it to the system. the only two commands
you need to delete is set clock and set ext numbers
(will set clock to last data save time and date, and
exts have to obey "no two ports with same number"
rule)

wish the 1232D's had this simple data stream, we would
never need Pano or mator "tools" ;-)

RE: KX-T: programming software

2002-01-08 Thread David Stanhope

Actually there are two versions of the software sold by www.pbxsoftware.com
and for around $35 each, they are a good bargain. I just recently changed
out my KXT123210 for a KXTD1232 and the have used both versions. They are
very similar as to look and feel. You can indeed save and restore system
settings with the analog version, one of the biggest differences is the fact
that on the analog you have to flip the switch on the PBX to do the
programming where on the digital it stays running while you program. You may
need the Rev-3 ROMS for the analog PBX for the software to work (not really
sure, but I upgraded mine),the KXT123210 and KXT123211 both can be upgraded
with the same Rev-3 ROMS, look on ebay if need them. The digital version of
the software seems to support all ROM versions. I have nothing to do with
www.pbxsoftware.com, just a satisfied user, only real problem I have noticed
with the software are some strange Russian-English wierdness in some of the
labels and help-files, but easy to work around. Still need some feeling of
how the PBX works to really use it well, but this software will get you
started.

The only 3rd party program that I know of is at:
www.pbxsoftware.com

Windows based, programs and saves the KX-TD systems (Digital)
If you have the analog 1232, you can't *easily* program the system and I'm
pretty sure you can't save at all.

KX-T: Caller ID

2002-01-08 Thread Wilcom VDV

Hello All,
I have a customer with a TD1232. It is setup to only ring 3 phones
immediately and some phones after 3 rings. My customer would like to be
able to see the CallerID info immediately on the delayed phones w/o the
phones ringing immediately. Is there a way to have callerID sent to a
phone w/o the phone ringing?
Thanks,

KX-T: Picky Ringing programming

2002-01-08 Thread Raymond Martin

Hi,
Here is the system;
KX-TD816 with 2 incoming lines.

7433 phones.
Auto Answer on
7311 on

With this in mind I need to be able to cause a discrete ring on the
clients phone while he is talking with auto answer on and the other CO
in use. I'd like to accomplish this with no user input from the client.

Now the client and his wife want to be able to talk on the phones, using
both CO lines, and then intercom each other during an outside
conversation. However when both CO lines are in use the clients cannot
intercom each other, no discrete ringing.

What I am trying to coble together at the moment is to:
Take an unused extension and jump it into CO3 and another into CO4.
This way the client can pick up CO4 and cause the discrete ring on CO4
even while both 'real' CO lines are in use.

As I do not want virtual lines 3 and 4 to ring and Light up on every
incoming call this involves some additional programming steps. I also
do not want every phone in the house to ring when the clients are
intercomming each other with this method.

I am looking for a more elegant programmed solution that this.
Appreciate any help!

Thanks,
Ray.

Evening all...

If you're certified and don't feel like participating in a discussion, why
not just sit back and not bother to answer?? Many of these questions are
being posed by end userswho have been left in the lurch when a
"certified" dealer went out of business, or refuses to respond in a timely

Sure...some of the users that are on this list are trying to save a buck or

just plain easier (and cheaper in the long run) to hire a professional.
I quit changing my own oil in my truck 30 years agobut I'd have been

For what it's worth, I've helped out more that a few "certified" out of

Helping out each otherwith the end user's benefit in mind is what I

KX-T: sharing duties

2002-01-08 Thread David Lesher

KXTD+TVS102

Main folks use Custom/auto attendent themselves.

A subtenant gets his own lines 1:1'ed to his extension.
The CO line have CFB. His station has FWD enabled..

But now he's getting an assistant. Currently he'll have
a POTS, not a 7433.

Now, what approaches can be used so the assistant can p/u
the main calls, and what are the downsides?

KX-T: Re: sharing duties

2002-01-08 Thread Charles Patterson

I think I understand...

Does this work?
Calls come 1:1 to ext. A
If A is fwd/busy/na to B, then B can help answer the calls, right?
If B is fwd/busy/na to voicemail, won't A's caller end up in A's box?

Since the call came in 1:1 to A, then A can be considered the "owner" of
the call. Even though A is fwd to B, the call should not end up in B's box,
it will end up back in A's box.

A's mailbox can also have a covering extension of B if desired, so A's
message can say " sorry I'm out, to speak with my assistant press 0 now".

Let's start with the original request.

O.K. I have Pana software on MY laptop. I get it from Panasonic about
once a quarter. So now we think, Hmmm, here's someone LOOKING for Pana
software(or is that softwr :-)) and he "cant get it from panasonic. Why?
They SEND mine without asking (BTW nice dealer kit huh?).

Short response, I didn't respond. Joe Childs did, pointing out that the
"end user" WIN based software is available and then it got ugly (or normal)
from there.

YES Virginia, I KNOW there are end users, dealers, lurkers, and who knows
who else on this list. Trust me, most dealers paid big bux to "go to Pana
school" and get certified. I didn't say learn anything, but attendance
counts in this case. I have given ONE copy of the software to my
customer...a very good friend. Why would I GIVE it to anyone on this list?
Hey, for free, log into Panasonic's dealer website and get your own
copyif you can.

I'm not trying to be mean or protective. Lord knows, I have enough work,
today, to keep me busy.

So don't jump in here and tell me what a horrible person I am for not
GIVING you a copy of something that is not mine to give. That's been
cussed and discussed here before. I don't know "dslct" from Adam and if I
did, it wouldn't matter. I don't own the rights to the KXT programming aid
and I certanily would't just blindly send it to him for any reason.

You "I have the right to the software" people have to remember one thing.
What the hell good is the software for your single system? Oh, I forgot,
blanket speed dial changes :-).

Honest, it might make you all feel warm and fuzzy, but it only is
worthwhile if you are going to do more than one of the same type system.

Or maybe I don't have a clue, but then it won't be the first time.

Jim thanks for your 2 cents, you have a lot of good points,

I know for many years I have sat back and not answered the KX-T questions,

I sit back and think why I don't, and all I can tell you is that I service
over 4000 customers and have over 2200 Panasonic systems that my company
services,
I answer no less than 10 voice mail and phone systems questions a day, I
delete and set up mail boxes, reset passwords, even record greetings, program
buttons, turn ARS off, fax over help sheets for speed dial, time changes, for
my customers, Never do I bill, But I know where to draw the line, and my
customers trust me.

I think if more Panasonic customers would pick up the phone and ask for help
from their local dealer they would be happy with the amount of free help that
they could get.

Helping out each other is the point of this list, And the dealers that answer
questions do a good job of helping, If you see an e-mail from an end user
that is complaining about a dealer, or a dealer complaining about an end user
do what I do just hit DELETE,
