Evening all...

I'm a bit upset at the "I've got mine" ......." If YOU don't, you are worth
dirt".... attitude that I've seen lately on this list.

If you're certified and don't feel like participating in a discussion, why
not just sit back and not bother to answer?? Many of these questions are
being posed by end users....who have been left in the lurch when a
"certified" dealer went out of business, or refuses to respond in a timely
manner once the check is in the bank........Yup......even some "certified
dealers" aren't the best business people.

Sure...some of the users that are on this list are trying to save a buck or
two, but we'll end up with their business anyway....most of them learn it's
just plain easier (and cheaper in the long run) to hire a professional.....
I quit changing my own oil in my truck 30 years ago....but I'd have been
pretty pissed if Ford said I wasn't ALLOWED to!....

For what it's worth, I've helped out more that a few "certified" out of
state dealers with jobs in my state ( CT ) when they couldn't legally run
cable, or install equipment, without an electrical license. Their Panasonic
certification doesn't mean s**t to our state electrical board. I didn't say
"go get your electrical contractors license SLACKER".....

Helping out each other....with the end user's benefit in mind.... is what I
thought this forum was all about. By the way...there have been answers on
this list that even Pana. tech support couldn't (or wouldn't) furnish.

PLEASE ...Let's try and be civil. I couldn't be happier that I stumbled on
this list a couple of years ago...it's been a WORLD of help!!

Happy New Year
